Poem of thoughts
Artist: Leonardo Da Vinci
Da Vinvi's painting is amazing because it gives you some type of optical illusion like the background and also the smile that that painting has. That painting has a mystery to it that smile that if you look really in and focus your attention you see that is not really a smile but a weard feeling that you can't understand.
Poet: John Stone
1
It is not what she did
at 10 o'clock
last evening
accounts for the smile
It is
that she plans
to do it again
tonight.
2
Only the mouth
all those years
ever
letting on.
3
It's not the mouth
exactly
it's not the eyes
exactly either
it's not even
exactly a smile
But, whatever,
I second the motion.

NYSLAT PRACTICE # 4 (made up story)
TASK #4
1.Describe what you see in each picture.
in the picture to the lefts i see a group of people in what looks like to be a chemistry lab and in the picture to the right it looks like an artist playing the piano and singing.
2.What skills or talents are these people enjoying? How are they sharing their talents with others? In the picture in the left the skills that those people seem to have it is to mix chemical because they are all in a chemistry lab and they seem to be sharing theirs skills to each other. and the picture in the right the skill that he is showing is singing and he seems to share his skill by singing to others.
What is something you would like to get better at? How could you develop your skills?
I would like to get better at running because I don't have enough stamina and I think I can get better at it by going to the gym and running in the machines.
Write an essay about how you can get better at something you like to do and how you might share your talent with others. Give examples of people who might teach you how to develop new skills. Use your ideas from the pre-Writing questions to add details to your writing.
There is this thing I have always being bad at, since I was a kid I always wanted to be really fast running but I would never advance and get better at it so now am planing to get better at it and I think that i can share this with many people. There aren't many people that come to my head when I try to think of who can help me to accomplish my dream.
First, If I become really fast then I think I can share my skills with many people by entering to races and if am good enough I might even go to the Olympics if that happens I would do my best to get known by everyone and to shown how good i am when it comes to it but that will only happen if i become better at running.
Second, know that I think better about what type of person would help me to accomplish my dream I think that a health professor or a physician would help me by telling me what to do and how to train, what and what is good for my health or telling me what exercise will work better on stamina.
In conclusion skills are really very important, everyone has something that they want to get better at because there is always that person that is smarter or sing and dance better than you getting better is something you can do but only if you work hard and find help.Did you know that many people in the unites states never accomplish their goals because they don't put enough effort in to it.

Dear Principal
I am writing to inform you of my concerns about the school's standards and Homeworks that are in New York City High School. As a parent, I understand how good your skill standards are and I appreciate what you have done for my child's education.
The education in your school is really advance and well prepare but, am afraid that the kids are stressing out and can't handle this situation. Homework as big as 8,9 pages every days is getting to them and am not saying it because of my son.
New York City High is stressing the kids out with that many activities for the kids, even though there all smart kids it is hard for them too keep track of all the home works and activities at the same time.
I know that you want to keep does standards at their top but, is not healthy for the kids to keep going like know. I think that what you could do is to create some after school programs for the kids so that they don't have to over do with the homework and instead they learn from a teacher.
I am looking forward to your answer. I want for the kids to be less stress so am planing to create a proggram with other parents that feel the same way as me.
Sincerely,
Yovanny Hernandez
